Dr Ellee Carlson, DAOM has been drawn to medicine since she was a child and had always intended on pursuing a career in health care. As she was completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, she contemplated which branch of conventional Western medicine she might pursue. In her pursuit of finding the best fit for her future career, she came across a graduate program offering Traditional Chinese Medicine. The concept of a holistic health approach that fosters a sense of balance with a deeper connection to ultimate body, mind, and emotional wellness is something that truly resonated with her.
Dr Carlson is a licensed acupuncturist in Texas certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She holds a Doctorate of Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from the accredited Pacific College of Oriental Medicine – one of the premier acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine programs in the country. This Master of Science degree program is a four-year graduate program with 3525 credit hours of theory and clinical practice, and includes both eastern and allopathic training.
